I`m writing this from a hotel room in Fredericton, New Brunswick. Ulala and i have just spent two nights in Quebec City with my parents and then we all drove today here to Fredericton. Since this hotel (the Delta Hotel next to teh beautiful Saintg John river, btw, in case anyone wants to know) has free in-room internet, i am taking full advantage and blogging some pictures from Quebec City. Quebec was great and we saw buskers and did lots of walking and visited the citadel and Chateau Frontenac and took the "Funiculaire" down to Le Petit Champlain. And i got to use my French for the second time in a month! Since it is late and i have a full day ahead tomorrow i will once again let the pictures do the talking:

Internet!!
Oh how i have missed Thee...
So we have been chilling in Morristonia at my parents place and FINALLY have ADSL internet! YAY!! but tomorrow we are off to the Eastbound and Down (anyone? no?). Headed to Quebec City and then Shediac for some nice beach time and to see the Giant Lobster. So now that i have high-speed internet hooked up i have to leave it behind for two more weeks!! AH!! ...meh.
here is a picture of Ulala beside the sign to the village of Morriston, where we have been staying for two weeks (yes, that`s right: it`s a VILLAGE - it`s not even a town!) :
And here are a few other pics from around the village:

On the Streets of Montreal
How is this for random?
Ulala and i were walking along Rue Mont-Royale ( in Montreal, Canada) today and we saw an excellent art installation whereby walls of green string had ben erected along the roadside where posters or ads or art or whatever could be clothes-pinned, like laundry, to hang in the breeze and attract the attention of whoever felt like giving up their attention. The idea behind the piece is that the world changes, the city changes, the street changes (Rue Mont-Royale is a very trendy area now but it hasn`t always been so). Our lives are ephemeral and colourful and full of creativity and input by others. I couldn`t agree more.

Stanley Park
I know... There a buj-jillion things i have to blog about but i am waiting until Ulala and i get to Ontario and get settled and i have time to go back and put them in order and give adequate responses to things rather than just superficial accounts. But Vancouver so far has been amazing and Andrew has been an excellent host and friend. yesterday we went to the Beach with Kat (Andrew had to work) and then in the evening we had some drinks with Clif and Asami, two friends we know from Osaka who are now living here in Van (in a beautiful apartment, i might add!). Since i am a firm believer that a picture is worth a thousand words (or more!) here are a couple pics from Stanley Park, where we went on Tuesday (July 3rd - any Seinfeld fans? no? ah well...)

HAPPY CANADA DAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Well, it's Canada Day here in Vancouver, and though my blog is still set on Osaka time so it says July 2nd, it is actually July 1st here in Vancouver. We are on our way out into the city to see what we can see. I am wearing the same socks as yesterday since Air China has yet to find and deliver our luggage (which they "mis-placed" in our delayed stop-over in Beijing - but i'll save that whole saga for another blog post). But the sun is shining and the birds are singing and there are festivals to be attended and fireworks! There will be fireworks!! woohoo! So i hope everybody has a great day and a great weekend!
