We went o the store and bought a bunch of veggies for the nabe dinner (hot pot). I think we may have bought one of every vegetable known to man. I also swung by the import shop and got a bottle of Hennessy because it was on sale and come with an elegant stir-stick. I'm a sucker for free stuff.
Thinking that the night would descend into some sort of "Girl's Night" i had a back-up plan to do work in the other room or even go study down at the cafe. But it was not to be. Both the food and conversation were good, and we even watched most of the Kameda fight on TV before playing Wii for a while. Overall an excellent Sunday. Bo pillow fights, though. Maybe next time.

I was also informed that Tila Tequila was in fact a real person (?!) and not the name of some adult cartoon character. We hopped on the net to verify this fact and found her to be not only real but horrifically tragic. Is this what our modern culture is now?
Thing that actually happened yesterday:
So it's 8:20a.m. and i get off the train in Senri Chuo on my way to work and IT'S SNOWING!! We don't get much snow in Osaka so i was a bit surprised. Not a heavy snow, just the light, ephemeral stuff that you know will disappear moments later. I could still see patches of blue sky here and there. When i got up to the 15th floor where my office is, it looked like the picture you see below. A half-hour later the sun had come out and warmed the snow into oblivion. But it was enough to make my gut churn with homesickness for my dear old Canada the rest of the day.
Symian is: missing snow. But not really.
