Lucy

Two days ago, on Sunday, December 2nd, our beloved family dog Lucy bid farewell to this world. After more than twelve years of loyalty, friendship, and love (as well as eating various inedible things that later had to be surgically removed), the time had come to let her rest. Her health had been failing for a long time; her breathing labored and painful and her hips no longer had the strength to hold her large frame. Often referred to fondly (and sometimes not-so-fondly) as "Lucifer" for her streak of mischief, she was a full family member who filled our house with energy and provided us with plenty of entertaining and funny stories. She will be deeply missed and often remembered with large smiles and love. Goodbye, Lucy.
